Eligibility Requirements
In order to be eligible for immunizations with state-funded vaccines (Texas Vaccines for Children, or Adult Safety Net program), an adult or child must meet 1 of the following criteria:
Children
- Does not have health insurance
- Is an American Indian, or Alaska native
- Is enrolled in Medicaid
- Is enrolled in the Children's Health Insurance Plan (CHIP)
- Is underinsured (has health insurance that does not pay for vaccines, or has insurance that covers only selected vaccines, or the insurance caps vaccine coverage at a certain amount. Once that amount is reached, the child is considered underinsured)
Adults
- Does not have health insurance
